Story Line: Auron is at first a mysterious character who helps Tidus get away from Sin in Zanarkand. Later he joins your party as one of Yuna's guardians. Turns out that Auron was a gaurdian fro Lord Braska, Yuna's father and the last summoner to have defeated Sin. Auron has a very mysterious past, and everyone wonders why he won't enter the Fareplane when the group goes to see it. He's is the information man in this game, telling Tidus bit by bit things that he needs to know, never telling him anything without giving him a chance to see it on his own. At the scene with Yunalesca, the group sees young Auron getting killed by the Lady, and then he finally admits to Tidus that yes, he is dead. Then why is he still in this world? Because he promised Jeckt that he would take care of Tidus, and that he is a doing a very good job of. Story Line Score: 10

Overall Battle Performance: Final Fantasy X has a completely new battle system and magic system to go along with all the other changes to this fabulous game. In battle, it is not only possible to change the weapons and armor of the characters, but it is also possible to switch characters around, even bring in ones that are not in your party. This is a great advantage, because you can use everyone's skills to defeat enemies and bosses instead of blindly going into battle and hoping you picked good characters. Weapons are bought at shops, as usual, and come with special abilities attached and also with the ability to customize your own abilities. But perhaps the most interesting part of Final Fantasy X's battle system is the Sphere Grid, an elaborate web of spheres which contain power ups and also abilities each character can learn. With spheres won in battle, your characters can eventually cover the entire grid, learning every spell and gaining ever power up they can get. Each character has their own color, so you can see where everyone else is and has been around the grid. Each character also has and Overdrive, special attacks they can perform depending on which setting you choose. Auron, like Tidus, uses swords in battle, but unlike Tidus, Auron is -extremely- powerful, especially if you use him a lot and get his strength points up high. He also has swords that have equipped status effects and elemental attacks. One of my favorite swords is the Gorgon Gaze, because it almost always turns an enemy to stone and shatters them. But by far my favorite thing about Auron are his overdrives. It's fun to do them, with all the buttons and such, and the damage they do is emmense. Especially shooting star, which gets rid of an enemy no matter how powerful (as long as it's not a boss.) No one can match Auron's battle skills. Overall Battle Performance Score: 9

Overall Contribution: Auron was the ever so important provider of information. He was always the one who knew what was going on and what was going to happen. But he didn't blurt it all out and ruin it for you. He let everyone have a chance to see it for themselves first. Overall Contribution Score: 10

My Opinion: Auron is the best character in this game, and quite possibly the greatest character of a Final Fantasy game in a very long time. Final Fantasy X is strange in that if you choose to talk to someone first each time you get the chance, then they'll like you more, and they'll tell you more things. I always talk to Auron first, so I know all about him and his past. On a side note, I was in a boss fight, and Yuna was stuck in confusion. She had a Gorgon Gaze type staff equipped, and she hit -Auron-, turning him to stone and -shattering- him. It was a rather scary moment. Thank god Wakka killed it on the next turn. Anyway..Auron=greatness. My Opinion Score: 10
