Strago - "An elderly gentleman, pure of heart, and learned in the way of the monsters..."

Story Line: Strago is Relm's grandfather (her mother's father.) Through the whole game, Strago only shows concern for Relm, even when she makes fun of him. In the WoR, go back to Thasma with Strago and talk to the man in his house. You'll find out that Strago and the man have been on a quest to kill the monster of Eblan. You don't have to go and do it, but you'll get a great blue magic from the monster. Note: You cannot get Strago back without getting Relm first! In the end, Strago and Relm live...well...happily ever after, not to be cliche. Story Line Score: 9

Overall Battle Performance: Strago can use staves and some knives, but his special skill, called Lore, does the most damage. This is like blue magic in other Final Fantasy games. Strago will learn certain attacks from certain monsters, and he can use them for the rest of the game. But, unlike other characters special skills, LORE USES MAGIC POINTS. Duh? You'll be surprised at how many people don't know that. Strago is generally good in battle, but not as strong as others. Overall Battle Performance Score: 8

Overall Contribution: You always have to have an old man in a Final Fantasy game, and Strago is one that is actually useful. His story line was well written, and his battle techniques were very helpful. Overall Contribution Score: 9

My Opinion: Strago was cool, I accepted him. I didn't use him very much, though, because he just wasn't as good in battle as some of the other characters. When you go to Eblan, don't forget to get the Lore! My Opinion Score: 8

Strago's Average Score: 8.5
