Tifa Lockhart

Story Line: Tifa, owner of Tifa's 7th Heaven Bar and proud AVALANCHE member, joins Cloud and company in their missions to take out the reactors. But we all know the real reason Tifa tagged along! Yup, to be with Cloud. Tifa seems to have known the whole time that there was something wrong with Cloud...but she just doesn't tell him for some reason. It's not until they fall into the Mako stream together that she helps him search for his real self. Tifa's entire being in the game revolves around Cloud, so there is no need to explain her story line. Story Line Score: 7

Overall Battle Performance: Final Fantasy VII's battle system contains magic which can be learned through the use of Materia. Materia is concentrated Mako energy, and can control the elements, abilities for the character, different battle changes, and summon monsters. All characters can be equal in magical powers, you just have to battle to have them learn the magics. The real differences between the characters in battle are their weapons and limit break techs (the more the character gets hurt, the more angry they get, when they get really mad, they get a limit break.) Tifa's not so bad in battle. Her gloves can do a decent amount of damage on the right enemies, and she can always use her materia magic. What's best about her is her limit breaks. She has this little slot machine, and depending on where you stop it (Miss! Hit! or Yeah!) the attack will be more powerful. She has not one slot machine, but many for each limit break attack she has learned. So, overall, her limit break can be very very powerful, especially against a large group of enemies. Overall Battle Performance Score: 9

Overall Contribution: If you think about it, Tifa is the one who pulled Cloud out of his whole state of confusion. Where would the game have been without Tifa? Cloud wouldn't know, that's for sure. So, I give a lot of credit to her in that aspect. Overall Contribution Score: 9

My Opinion: In this game, you either like Tifa and hate Aerith, or like Aerith and hate Tifa (or you can hate both, which is understandable because this game was VERY lacking in good female characters.) I was pro Tifa, to an extent. I don't really remember why, however, because now looking back on it, I don't like any of the "good" characters very much. I'm more of a fan of evil. In light of this new finding, I'm lowering everyone's score in this game. Mwaha. Just kidding. My Opinion Score: 7
