Story Line: Wakka is the other of Yuna's original gaurdians who starts off with her on her pilgrimage in Besaid. Wakka is the captain of the Besaid Aurochs, a blitzball team who has yet to win a game. He gives up being captain to devote his time and his life to helping Yuna and party follow the teachings of Yevon, or so Wakka thought. When he found out that the Maesters and even Yevon himself were against him, Wakka is crushed. But it is for the better, because eventually his hate for the Al Bhed is lifted, and he learns that not everything is the way that he was taught it is. Wakka finds friendship in Tidus because he reminds him of Chappu, his brother who passed away. Story Line Score: 10

Overall Battle Performance: Final Fantasy X has a completely new battle system and magic system to go along with all the other changes to this fabulous game. In battle, it is not only possible to change the weapons and armor of the characters, but it is also possible to switch characters around, even bring in ones that are not in your party. This is a great advantage, because you can use everyone's skills to defeat enemies and bosses instead of blindly going into battle and hoping you picked good characters. Weapons are bought at shops, as usual, and come with special abilities attached and also with the ability to customize your own abilities. But perhaps the most interesting part of Final Fantasy X's battle system is the Sphere Grid, an elaborate web of spheres which contain power ups and also abilities each character can learn. With spheres won in battle, your characters can eventually cover the entire grid, learning every spell and gaining ever power up they can get. Each character has their own color, so you can see where everyone else is and has been around the grid. Each character also has and Overdrive, special attacks they can perform depending on which setting you choose. Wakka uses blitzballs as weapons, which, like other weapons, sometimes come equipped with elemental power or status effecting damage. Wakka is actually a pretty powerful character who shouldn't be ignored. His overdrive is a slot reel; get three colors in a row for a powerful multi-enemy attack, or mix it up to get him to do a mediocre single enemy hit. The colors stand for the different elemental attacks, so keep in mind what will damage your enemy the most. Overall Battle Performance Score: 9

Overall Contribution: Wakka is the reason that Tidus is in this game. Without his friendship, he wouldn't have come along on the journey at all. Plus, he won a game for the poor Aurochs, who had pathetically never won before. Overall Contribution Score: 10

My Opinion: If nothing else, you've got to love Wakka's accent. He gets a 10 simply for having an awesome voice actor. My Opinion Score: 10
